What's his criteria?  Cabin?  C/C?  I/O, O/B, I/B? Twin/Single?  Mono-cat-pontoon-trihull?  Price range?  Fishing, Cruising, Sailing?  I am "guessing" fishing but.....

he's looking for a walk around (or split console) mainly for salt. as a point of reference he wants to by my 16 kalmath. I am sure he's looking to go cheap. sub $10K prob. I have an O/B so I am sure that is what he's looking for.

That is a beaut, love the Carolina express style.  In my dreams I own a  25 Carolina or Blackfin combi 24 here and keep my 31 Bert in socal/mex....someday it shall be so.

Good luck with the sale.

Take my advice.....he does not want a cheap 20'+ boat.  It will get expensive real fast.

There's a world of difference between wanting a 22' wac and your 16' klammy.  He really needs to narrow it down further as to what size boat he wants, how many people he wants to fish with, tow vehicle capabilities, his tolerance for elemental abuse, mechanical abilities,  desire to increase mechanical abilities and overall expectations.

In essence, his $10k otta garner something nice in the 16-18' range but he's not gonna be fishing all 5 of his brothers offshore in comfort.... but should be pretty turnkey.  In a 22' wac at $10k he's gonna be working on stuff or paying others to do it for him, updating this and that and the ungodly nightmare that is gas tank removal or repower.  Turnkey in that price range,  probably double of what he's looking to spend with occasional deals to be had.

There's a nice 18' parker center console with a 90's 2 stroke ox 66 yammy  on bloody decks.  If I were him id be driving to socal tomorrow to check it out.
