new they are 2549 PLUS tax, which puts it close to 2800.00.

How does it paddle on the ocean?

When you have pedals you don't need no stinkin paddle!  Seriously though, unless something happens to the Mirage drive (not likely) or you go through thick kelp there is no reason to paddle. 
Fishing is cheaper than therapy!

I will give you my experience with my PA in freshwater..........I find it just about effortless to pedal 10+ miles a day trolling and I am an old fart that is 55 years old.  The Mirage drive is way different than pedaling a bicycle for example.  I have paddled several different yaks and I find I want the Mirage drive instead.  fishing hands free has to be experienced to be appreciated! 
Fishing is cheaper than therapy!

To be honest I have not had it out on the ocean. Some of us lucky few have multiple kayaks for varied uses. My PA has been used on lakes, rivers, and the bay with outstanding performance
