Mather 5/13/06

Had a few chores to do first, so I was on the water at 11:30am. Off the water at 3pm.

The lake is getting swampy with the warm weather. The vegetation is filling in along the banks.
Lots of bankers today, tons of kids going for panfish. I noticed very few of the dads bother to wear a license. I'm tempted to say something to them, but we don't speak the same language.

Back to fishing...I started with a pumpkin Senko, second cast...bam..hooked one. It was a nice fighter. Photo and release. I thought it would be a good day. That turned out to be the only fish landed. Got lots of hits and tugs. Lost a couple in the weeds. I tried every color I had.

Best part of the day was my new seat cushion. 3.5 hours in my sik and feeling ok!

Nice job Al. Hate gettin' one that fast and my hopes up only to have it be the only one all day. But one is a LOT better than none.
Gonna try Sly park tomorrow at 6:45. Will park at the monument right before the 1st dam. Just found out I was going otherwise I would have posted sooner.
