That area is going to be jumping this weekend! Frog jumping time so it is going to be crazy around there. Might be up at the fair but probably not fishing. I need to replenish my WAF account

RHYAK, I've been meaning to talk to ya about setting up a camping trip, we should do a fishing/diving drip to fort ross/fort brag area. I was out there ab diving and trying out my new pole spear, and it was awsome, Pole spear was suprisingly easy to get perch and Rockfish with. I did not get any lings, and it seemed the rockfish came out as soon as I grabbed an ab Iron, but I had a blast.

But yeah both these places should be epic, I had 20 trout in about 3 hours at both locations last year.... Ive skunked it up too many times this year exploring, so this weekend Im doing  some sure bets, lol.

PS I just checked the lake level and it is 3 feet below the crest of the dam :), so we don't have to do the rope deal, you can launch right off the damn at the far corner of the lake :)

Wife starts working Sat/Sun from here on out. Going to be interesting to see how this pans out. In other words I can't make it down there. For what it's worth at New Melones the Kokanee have been going crazy for anything orange and copper about 20' down. Plankton time. They're small but they sure taste good.

And you could hear me screaming a mile away as I was headed out for the door....
