No birds, no bait, no fish... nothin'. Paddled out at 6 AM to the 100' mark off Pedro and fished south past the slide and back. Nothin' for the PB's either. Not a speck of bait. 10 miles on the new GPS on one herring. Pretty big water, but I landed well thanks to the combination Blue Kayak "scout it out" and Promethean "jump off before you dump off" methods. Thanks guys! Lovely day.

So far the way the season goes seems like the bait and fish are there a few days then everything disappears

Hey how close in were the boats?

First boat I passed on my way out; he was just outside Pedro. Other boats were right around the same area as me; I didn't notice anyone too much farther out unless they were beyond sight. Coastside reports sound pretty dismal as well. And the bay was a skunk. Guess it was a spare the fish day. Glad you got em' when you did, Blue. I was really hoping to give her a Mother's Day salmon dinner too. Guess I'll actually have to buy something now...
