Camp recomendations right off the 101

Gonna leave salinas tonight around six headed for shelter.Was hopeing to get past Santa Rosa, then find A place to crash for A few hours for A first thig spring towards shelter. ANy camp recomendations A few will be pitching tents overnight and I will sleep in the man van, any help is appreciated.

How many people? I have room for two or three.

You may want to continue up to Lake Mendo and camp on the north shore.

Your leaving at 6, you can make it there by midnight Andy!  Switch off and dont stop till ya reach the cove!!!  Sledge and Jim will be waiting for ya 

Bro I'm headed out from work @ 5 going to run to Lakeport grab my ab tags...load my yak/gear and head up the hill will probably stop at willits Safeway to load up...than figured on driving up as far as I can than spend the night and drive that down hill grade into shelter in the wee hours to avoid traffic...For my Man Cave I need 4x4 low and crawl down that hill to avoid the brake issue...

lets hookup @ safeway willits if the timing is right

I was going to suggest Spring Lake in Santa Rosa or Lake Mendo.

KOA in Cloverdale

Gonna play it by ear... Im gonna drive to Frisco switch off and let someone else drive, may keep going we will see.If not probabaly lake mendo.

If you get too tired there is a nice KOA between Novato and Petaluma on the west side of the freeway. Southbound. Right by the dumps exit.

I'm not leaving till Friday, but your welcome to crash at my house. I'm close to the freeway & there's plenty of flat ground for several cars. (Plenty of spots to piss)

 

How many times do we have to tell you Andy!  NEVER go through SF!!!!     Just pretend like your going to Napa, and then take the Richmond bridge!  You will be back on 101 before you know it!

Just take some RED BULL Bro or something that will keep you going!
