SAN PABLO RESERVOIR FISH REPORT
April 30,2012
BOAT LAUNCH OPEN 7 DAY’S A WEEK AND INSPECTOR ON SITE
The San Pablo Reservoir  hours are 6:30am to 7pm with all boaters needing to be off the water by 6pm.For  May our hours will change to 6:00am to 7:30pm with boats off the water at 6:30pm.The Boat Launch area is open 7 days a week  and snacks and drinks are available aswell as bait and tackle. Our last Trout plant of 1200 lbs. was performed on Tuesday  April  24,2012.The Trout bite is on fire and there have been a lot of good looking Trout being caught this week. The water temperature is about  59 degrees. People that have been  trolling are having luck using Rapalas like the broken back Fire Tiger and Shad lures aswell as Kastmasters. Berkley Power bait colors such as Rainbow,Chartreuse, Garlic  and Spring Green remain the top choice of bait aswell as the Berkley Mice Tails while also using the Power bait Trout Dip in Garlic or Roe scents.PowerEggs and  Night Crawlers have also been working well.
TROUT
Oscar Arevalo of Bay Point caught an 8lb. Trout at the Pines using PowerBait on 4-23-12
Mike Biernacki of Hayward caught a 6.5lb. Trout at Sandy Point on 4-24-12 to go with the 10lb. Trout he caught last week using Powerbait
Andrew Osanu of San Francisco caught a 10lb. Trout on 4-24-12
Arturo Barbosa of Oakland caught a 10lb. Trout at the Boat Launch area using Chartreuse PowerBait on 4-25-12
Rob & Jason of El Sobrante caught 10 Trout weighing 24lbs. at Whopper Cove on 4-27-12
Kimmy Powell of Novato caught a 10lb. Trout using Green Flashers and Night Crawlers along the Buoy line on 4-28-12
David Fox of Concord caught a 8.5lb. Trout using a Lure at Sandy Point on 4-28-12
Michael Wagaerts & son caught a 9lb. Trout using a Lure at Sandy Point on 4-28-12
Stan Redding of Pleasant Hill caught a 10lb. Trout using a Rapala at the Dam on 4-28-12
Alex Bowerman of Sebastopol caught a 4.5lb. Trout using a Kastmaster on 4-29-12                       
The Magno kids of Vallejo caught 4 Trout weighing 8lbs. combined at Sandy Point using PowerEggs and PowerWorms on 4-29-12

Any details on the bass bite?  I'll be going tomorrow afternoon, mostly trolling for trouts but will more than likely be throwing a swimbait or two as well as senkos up scow and perhaps down in the paddle only zone.  Any advice/details would be loverly!
