Jim and I took the kids out fishing today and had a great time.  We started trying for blue gill, but it was kinda slow.  Jim's daughter got two Blue Gills and then we tried trolling for trout.  We ended up hooking up with three Rainbows, and put two in the boat. Then Jim and his daughter hooked up with a nice crappie.  If you guys haven't tried the reservoir it was a small one,  no gas motors allowed so it was great for kayaking.  They have stocked 9000 pounds of rainbow trout so far this year and last year a guy pulled a 11 pound LM Bass.  I took us about 40 minuets to reach it from Seaside, I wish I would have known sooner it was that close.

Ed is right on...It was a great time and you can paddle around the lake 6 times and still have traveled less distance than chasing salmon out of Moss landing.

wow, kids and fish, that is a good one. photos too! WAF probably also, but only if you brought them
back (moms get so touchy about that one).

I can either do  fish, or kids, or photos, have not mastered any two of the above at once.

What fun!

Great pics and report.  May have to try the place one of these days when the ocean is snotty.
