Hello all...  Thought I'd drop a "want" ad in the mix.  Looking for a new (used) 13-15' SOT yak.  Selling my shorter fishing yak.  Have the funds available despite not selling my current one yet.  Thinking a Scupper Pro, Prowler, Trident or Tarpon.  Open to other suggestions.  Though my current yak is as stable as they come, I need more speed in exchange for some stability.  Mine has been a proven 1st fishing Kayak and is an absolute SOLID fishing platform!  [P.S.  If you are looking for a FULLY rigged kayak, my Kingfish is FOR SALE -- short list of details includes 5 removable scotty pole holders with flush mounts, flush ritchie compass, Lowrance M68C Color GPS Map/Fishfinder, all stainless hardware, deck bungees, lots of eye pads for attaching straps & crates, etc...  all nicely done with in-hull transducer)  Don't need (or really want) a fully rigged model.  Some light rigging on it is ok.  Like everyone else, I like to make it my own creation.  The sooner the better!  Located in the Monterey Bay area but willing to travel north to South San Francisco & as far inland as say Fresno/Stockton area.  Feel free to e-mail me at go_4_fish @ yahoo .com  Thanks & Tight Lines!  ~Bill

Price range?  I'll know it when I exceed it....  I don't have an EXACT range for what I'm looking to spend.  I am not in the $1000 range, I know that for SURE.  Reasonable .... that's my range -- hence the reason to look used over new.  Not used & abused, just used.  Is that vague enough for everyone?

Let me add the Stealth 14 & Manta Ray to this wish list....  thanks for the call from a fellow member who has the Stealth 14 for sale.  Any takers on a great entry level Kingfish FULLY rigged?  Make a screaming deal to help fund the next kayak!!!!

I assume you have checked at MBK to see if they have something from their rental fleet. HMB kayak can have good deals on rentals too
Dan at Headwaters in Lodi has some used yaks. Your Kingfish is notoriously slow so almost anything 12' or longer will be faster.

Thanks!  I'll make a few calls.  Lived near Lodi for a few years.  Just posted the Kingfish on Craigslist Monterey & San Francisco so hopefully I can make a sale soon.
