Went to Lake Valley on Friday, and spent the day paddling against the winds. Only one 12" rainbow for my efforts. The parking area is clear, and the road only had a little bit of snow. I believe I was the first person in there this year.
Mostly used different types of Castmasters and quickfish lures. I favor the white with bright colored spots because of the good luck I have had at Jackson Meadows.
Water temp was running about 48 degrees.
Beautiful day..... maybe a little to early in the season for the prime fishing yet.
I hope to catch some of the other high mountain lakes as they open get some pics up soon. Camera is giving me some greef right now
