Wanting to get a refresher before GS6, and this looks like the weekend to do it!  Anyone else up for going?  Was thinking Saturday, but the forecast looks a bit rough.  Will do Sunday instead if the prediction doesn't calm down a bit.

I've signed up for Sunday which is the all day course including the paddling techniquies, self rescue, and the surf zone.  On Saturday they only do the paddling/self rescue, so I went for the full Sunday course.

Currently there is one person signed up for the second half of the class, not the first.  Would be great to have someone else join in the full day class  :smt002  With the 10% off, comes to $99 of well spent money and great instruction!

Great idea. Great opportunity. If I did not have a previous commitment on Sunday, I would join you. I may be launching from Pacific Grove on Saturday, depending on weather. I'll be checking conditions and decide finally Friday. If you launch from MBK for fishing before the course, let me know.

What is all day Al?   Are they providing the yak?  Are you taking yours?

Class is from 9am - 5pm, and though I don't recall it being that long, I was definitely spent by the end of the day.  They provide everything, all gear and yaks.  I asked if I can do the self rescue portion on my own kayak and they were fine with that, but I'll use one of theirs for the surf class since you need to have leg braces to side surf.

I'll have to make another one.  I think I need to make a WAF account deposit Sunday.

I took the class a couple days ago and they let me use their braces for the whole day. I have a T15 and didn't feel that they braces were critical, but definitely aided.

Also, our class lasted the whole day. Weather was amazing, surfing was amazing. Instruction was great. I highly recommend the class.

Sounds like fun and probably a good idea.  I doubt if I can do it this weekend but maybe one of these days.  How does a person get more information about this course?
