Looking to buy either a new Prowler Trident 15 or a Trident 15.

It looks like the main differences is that the Trident 15 has adjustable foot braces and a mod pod.

I can easily substitute the rod pod on the Prowler Trident 15 with a mod pod. But I wanted to know if the adjustable foot braces really made a big difference or not.

Never used them so don't know what I'm missing.

Your input is appreciated

I've had yaks with molded in footwells, and the adjustable foot braces.  I liked the adjustable braces much better,  they are more adjustable than having to pick one of the molded in ones and they contact your foot higher, not down on the heel/side, much more comfortable.

Dale,

The rails are fairly long are there other mods that can utilize these rails that you are aware of?

I don't really know anything about that.

I have a Trident 13 with adjustable foot braces, and there have been times when my feet get wedged between the brace and the center console and I have wished for just the molded-in arrangement. However, Dale L makes a good point about pressure on the heel and ankle, which I had not considered before. My wedgey problem does not occur often, and when it does, I just move my foot. Your size, the way you sit in the yak, and other factors probably determine your comfort level. At any rate, I like my ride so much that I can live with this infrequent and minor annoyance.

Thanks for the information regarding the possible wedging issue.

Hey Antonio, If you end up with a PROWLER I would probably be willing to sell the factory adj foot braces cheap. I'm gonna use after market ones to control my rudder.

Thanks purchased the Prowler Trident 15 today. After some research and talking to a few vets on here and at some of the shops I've decided to go without the adjustable foot braces.

We'll see how it goes.
