Badass indeed!  I like the last catch, the fish was so big the osprey couldn't really gain lift...haha.

During an eco-tour I took in Alaska they said, a lot of Bald Eagles die because they grab a fish that's too big to lift and they die / drown because they won't let go

Loved the flatfish shot. What was that? A flounder?

I stumbled on a way to see them close up, eagles too.

While at Union Valley fishing one day, I kicked loose a trout that didn't survive.  He was floating behind my boat when I heard a loud wind.  Down came an eagle to scoop that thing up.  He carried it above my head, hovered and screamed at me for about a full minute before taking off to a big dead tree top to enjoy his meal.
Since that worked, I tried it on purpose.  An Osprey took the next trout.  Have your camera ready for a great photo shoot...

That was amazing, especially like the shot head on of the osprey trying to get lift.  You can really see the mechanics of the wings in action!

Very cool. They are always on the prowl at Albion, coming out of the treeline several hundred yards away to take the floaters that are sometimes left behind. Here is a shot I took a couple of season's ago. Enjoy!
