March was a tough one

Fished my butt of in early March hunting for the flat kind,
with no luck on any thing bigger than 5 or 6 pounds
even the lizard fish seem to be hiding...
Barely managed a couple sculpin and bass
very frustrating month for sure

Fished the Baytubers Halibut Tournament in Dana Point, and the change of scenery was the ticket!

First halibut was a 9lbr, then released a 7 then finally got what I needed in a nice tourney winning 21lber:





She was the first nice fish of the new PA:


Sliced up my hand at work pretty bad a couple weeks ago, so no fishing for me lately,
Can't wait to get back out there

Take it easy guys, only a couple months and the family will be back up camping at New Brighton!

Heal fast. I once missed one of the greatest tourneys of the year due to a mishap with a razor blade at work.
