Can anyone give me some info on parking and launching at Paradise? How to get there, etc?
Thanks,
Andrew

Assuming I have the right spot, should be here:

Parking is $8 if I remember correctly.

You also need a cart to launch there. The little hill there sucks.

The launch area is slippery and can get real nasty with swells sometimes. Usually these are just boat or ferry wakes and if you wait them out it will calm down.

Good thing is that it's just a few paddle strokes to the fishing grounds.

The fresh-water hose on the launch ramp is nice, too, for hosing off the salty stuff.

I wish there was a decent path to the beach, tho. It would be nicer to avoid the slippery stuff at low tide. There are steps to the beach, so it would be tough to do solo.

Isn't there another launch to the north? Paradise Cay?

Yes,it's FREE, but it's all rip-rap...you can launch from inside the Cay/marina, but again all rip-rap, but no wakes or wind swell

Paradise is less $ for parking on the weekdays....more $$ FRI-SUN. If you get there early, you can ask the nice people there, if you could drive down the road and launch straight from your veh. Returning UP the HILL is where you'll really want the wheels.

Once you get out past the pier.....you'll see the drop-offs.....heading towards the south point is the deeper water....you can be in 20-30' real quick.
Google Paradise Pier and it will take you there....off hwy101 @Tiburon

Is this launch site doable solo or do you need two people?  from what I have seen it looks like two would be ideal.

It's much easier with 2 people but doable with 1.

There is a rusted out handrail on the wall going down the ramp. I always have my left hand on it while going down the ramp. jim

Both my kayaks had gotten some good gauges from the launch area. Not sure what part of the ramp exactly. Perhaps it's the rocks whenever it is low tide when
launch and landing. I'll try and carry the yak down the beach next time to avoid
anymore damage on the yaks. Sorry it's off topic but just a warning.
