I have to say that I executed a nice frontward landing on the same day. I like to see where I'm going, not where I've been. 

By the way, the only backward landing I attempted resulted in the biggest crash yet. Just ask the Mooch.

that happened on a big day...and we simply timed it wrong - we would have flipped our kayaks either way (forward landing on backwards). Yet, I'm still more confident about landing backwards 

bassackwards is the way to go!  you take alot of water over the top, but it is easier to keep control.
