Mirage Drive mod

I noticed the newer mirage drives have little bungee cords to keep the pedals in position. I've been utilizing the "Tote" method with some lead weights bolted to the lower backs of the pedals but that way didn't fully align the pedals. I bought a foot of the small black bungee material at REI and kind of copied what they've done on the newer drives. I just drilled a small hole into the plastic caps on the ends of the drive shafts and put a small sheetmetal screw in for a place to tie the bungee to. Tested it out today and it worked great! The first pic shows the before & after and then a close up of where I tied the bungee.

Forgot to add that you gotta use a real short screw like 1/4". I took a 1/2" screw and just cut a little off.

I gooped one each of 3 oz round weights in the back, been working great for several years.  Always turns the way you need them.
