Ok, so most of us on the board agree that those old Penn reels are archaic, need too much maintenance, are slow and just generally are not very cool.

I agree.  They pretty much suck.

So, if you have any old 500, 501, 140 or 146, or even the monster old (useless) 113 or 114 (H or not) reels laying around gathering dust, let me know, I might be able to take them off your hands for you.  It gives me something to do, working on them through the dark cold winter hours, out in the garage on a fool's errand with those pretty much worthless old reels, that aren't even worth very much money at all.

Oh yeah, I know the 965 and 975 reels look cool, wannabe calcuttas, right?  worthless.......  junk.....fall apart and never work again after one dunk.  but, what the heck, I might even take one of those off your hands, maybe give it to my kid, or use it to play with the cat, or something.  PM

I magged my Jigmasters with REM's from Lee valley tools. A lot of fun! but not old enough to part with yet. I have two other penns; the GTI345 and a Senator 9/0, each with 1000meters of braid for the Kite fishing I'm planning on. Could leave you in my will tho; If I had one! hahaha!

I have 3 old Penns. Not for sale 'cuz it's all I have. I would like to have them cleaned and lubed.

Long Beach 67 with box and manual.

Penn Peer 109 on an old Horrocks-Ibbotson Cane rod. The rod was given to me and my dad rewound the eyes.

Peer 209 with box and manual. Sticker shows marked down from $26.

I also have an old reel called "Sport King 104". Old and in sad shape.
