I dont know if anyone is interested in this.

But it could be useful, i could see myself using it, even though most of the places i fish are deep or has a lot of current vs a salt flat.
I did my best to search the forum, but didnt find anything on it.  The site they refer to for the fiberglass rod or pole is still good, i hate dragging the anchor out releasing and then dragging it back in, any way i can get around that ill take, im a new member and taking on the task of purchasing the rods could be lead by another member, but preferably local, i just dont like the shipping vs product cost.  Im up for two rods myself, i think they could ship upwards of maybe around 20 for the same price it would cost to ship 1. Anyone? Maybe an even better idea?

I actually use one of those thick green tree stakes you get at HD. I attached at wood dowel as a handle and added an eyelet to the end so I could slip a around and not have it slide off OR clip to it. I use it for shark fishing in the south bay flats. Simpler and cleaner than an anchor. Below is the link to the stake...I bet I beat his $20 spend...by $15

I wonder if they have anything longer, or could try and use these to spear the bottom, but an actual anchor might then work better.  Im diggin the fiber glass, might get something smaller in diameter than the 3/4 inch too.  Wonder how the weight stacks up fiber glass vs the steel.

The one I have/made is super light. Its not solid steel is a thin wall tube with plastic coating. The water I use it in is maybe 2.5 feet deep.
