New product from Hobie, horizontal rod holder kit. This things neet. It's a two part rod holder that holds the rod flat to the top of the kayak. The first part is a sleeve that mounts toward the front of the deck that you slide your rod tip in. The second part is mounted back closer to the cockpit, the rod but can either hang from the mount or you can lock it down with a rubber bungee.  I picked one up from John at Wind Toys and ordered four more going to put them on my yaks as soon as they come in. It'll be nice for keeping the rod tips out of the Willows on the river and securing rods to deck for coming back through the surf. Check em out at Wind Toys or Hobie .com.

    Tight lines Dale

Its been around over a year.  I bought one from Sunrise Sports last year and ended up returning it.  Design doesn't work me.
