Hey guys, I just picked up a Shimano Talora, 7' ultra light action is medium slow. I got it for trolling for trout and kokes. Does anybody have one, and if so how do you like it.

I had this rod, but gave it to a friend with a PB.
It was great on a DR, but for top linning, it was way to soft. The rod gave too much and would not set the hook well at 1.5 mph.
On the DR, the release supplied the tension and this rod was the best.

I bought one and I returned it for the Lamiglas MCB 702  :smt007. Agree with Eric it was too soft I kept losing fish

Cool, thanks for the info guys. Much appreciated! I have heard that it's personal preference regarding the "play" in the rod. Some like a more stiff rod some like the wet noodle feel. I guess I'll find out @ berry. And yes the above sentence didn't sound that good. :)
