I've been to Anderson twice now on my Kayak.  No luck either time. :smt013  I was fishing jigs and wacky worms.  Fished South of the launch ramp, all the way down the rock walls.  No luck, not even a nipple.  I would have to think there were no fish in there except I did see a couple guys catching a few.  I heard them yell once trout.  Possible they were soaking worms.  Of course they were on the point I was going to hit next.  I did notice a fair amount of boats on the lake, and it seemed most were having the same luck as me.  I was on the water from about 10AM to 5PM.  Regardless of the poor fishing, it was a great day on the water.  Wish I had more to report

Oye, whatcha fishin' for?  :smt044  :smt002

Now that my friend, is the right attitude!  For me, time in nature is most important, if I catch fish, it's just a bonus!

I heard them yell once trout.  Possible they were soaking worms.

That's interesting because I don't think it has been planted in several years.  Either they were yanking your chain or it was a healthy holdover!

Look forward to meeting you on the water.  Any chance you'll be at CL?

Welcome aboard  Goombayaker.   Glad you enjoyed your time OTW despite of the skunk.  Thanks for the fishing report.

I'll have to check my calendar, but I was looking at the dates today.  That is Yakhoppers tournament, right?  Bass is my species of preference.  Although I will fish for anything that will pull on the other end of my line.  I am just more equipped for Bass.  Looking forward to fishing with you all.  Thanks for the feedback.

Yup, that is Eric/Yakhopper's tournament.

While I do fish for bass, I'm not all that great at it.  It's fun, regardless.

I lived there in Morgan Hill near Anderson for eighteen years until last summer.  I have friends that do well there on plastics, (weighted worms, drop shotting etc.)  I for one have only caught crappie there.  I always went to Calero or Coyote for a better chance at larger bass- not to say they aren't at Anderson just harder to coax onto the line.

I thought about using the drop shot but never went with it.  Maybe next time.  I believe Coyote opens for boating April 15.
