Early halibut season in the bay?

Nice. I work for a consulting firm in Walnut Creek. We mostly do groundwater remediation work. 

Been sampling the south bay for work still catching some good size herring and eggs in the trawl along with 8 to 14 in halis. Area sampled is SM bridge to DM bridge.
