I last tried Hobies around 4 or 5 years ago
loved the mirage drives... did not like the cock pits
never really felt comfortable in the Outback, Revo or Adventure

Have been saying for awhile that I must give them another try

Instead I just went ahead a got this baby
found a good deal and picked her up over the weekend

First impression? WHAT A BEAST
going to try and put her in the water tomorrow for the first time and
see if I can get some halibut blood on her :smt003

Sweet, now get a trailer and save your back  :smt003
Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.

Cool.  If you've got truck with a drop down tail gate, you can easily transport your PA fully rigged with very little effort.

I hepled Allen carry his up the ramp at Black Point. I could never carry that thing by myself. He did get to stand up to piss though.

What... no Wheelez or supper hole cart?  It's a must have with that boat.

No wait ill add more, Allen was totally comfortable ALL DAY. He could stand and strech. Man that would be nice! Not dissin the ride buddy just that it was heavy. But you know that. We had the wheels Chuck. We just had to get it up the ramp a bit out of the low tide mud, ya know sturgeon fishing can be like that at the end hehe

Gotta luv those Pro Anglers!  Another great thing about the PA is that you never need to run up to shore to pee or stand up and pee all over yourself and your PA.  Just remove the drive (leash the drive first, you don't want to watch your 500.00+ drive sink to the bottom)  and presto, the Mirage drive hole makes a great urinal!   :smt003

It is a LOT easier to use a cart and move that beast of a yak around instead of having two guys pick it up and carry it around.

Sure, the PA rolls easier than carrying ....but the Black Point boat launch can get quite busy at the bottom of the tide. If there are no power boats  we walk up and get our wheels. Typically there are boats lined up to use the single lane ramp. Out of respect for others we carry the kayaks up to the sidewalk (maybe 40 feet).
