Heading down to LA for the weekend to visit friends and family thought about bringing down my dive gear and going spearing. Any one know whats good and where to shoot? thinking of hitting up La Jolla Cove for a shore dive not to picky on what i shoot like perch, rockfish, etc. Any Info would be greatly appreciated probably will be diving on sunday morning WX permitting.

Not sure what part of LA your going to But la jolla is like 1 1/2 -2 hours south of LA proper and you have to swim a mile out from where you launch kayaks at to clear the MPA.

County line beach / deep hole is good for WSB and a much closer friendlier shore dive. its right out infront of Neptunes Net off highway 101

Thanks man for the info I dont mind driving the 1.5 hrs to SD from LA its shorter than some of my ab trips haha. Ended up going to ccups recomended spot but turned out there were to many surfers=big surf and poor vis. Hope to hit SWS this week sense im not working or maybe go north not sure just really want to shoot my first ling after catching my first lings off the yak this dec.
