Hi from down south.  Dave's still here.  I went out this afternoon @ Cabrillo on the inside in the wind. (very windy) Was OTW @ 1:30 and fished until dark.  The wind laid down for a time between 4:00 and dark and it was really nice for a while, but it picked up again at sundown.   I seem to be good at catching (and releasing) short halibut and lizard fish  :fish  Today's score, two shorties (halibut) and one lizard fish.  I got out for a "break" mid afternoon and was greeting by two game wardens at the ramp.  We had a pleasant chat and they checked me for "legality" which I totally was.    :smt003

I haven't posted in a while and I know you've all seen short fish, so here's the 2nd one I caught today.  (What's a fishing report without pictures?)  :smt006

Detonate the reality bomb.

A short one is better than none  :smt003, keep at it Dave, you will get one soon enough.
Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.

Being an honorable sportsman is way more important than what you catch.
