Need help with tax advice on home short sales...

Last year I had to short sale my home, and need advice on the tax liability.  Looking for a tax guy that can answer some questions and handle my taxes.  Anywhere in the south bay would probably be fine.

I have a guy up here that took care of my foreclosure and my short sale both. Came out that I had a carry forward loss for this year too. These were both investment props and not owner occ though. I can get you his info if you like. Tell him I sent you and it will cost double.

this is where our taxes are prepped, not sure if they do much with SS home stuff but in this economy, probably.

No, dont think so.  Just went with an agent, not sure how the HAFA applies.

If it qualified for HAFA the sale would meet certain guide lines with the IRS. Still a Gray area with a lot of us in this industry. PS: I do not give tax advice!
