I've never done this drift and would love to try it if anyone with local intel would be willing to join. Rain should stop soon and hopefully it will be fishable by this weekend.

russians running at 11,000 cfs at the moment in healdsburg, probably not going to be in shape by the weekend, good float/fishing levels are 800-1200cfs if the clarity comes back, can take some pics for you as the week goes on if you still are interested, i live a few blocks from the river, cameron

Muddy mess right now, I'm guessing it won't start clearing till middle of next week   http://cdec.water.ca.gov/river/russianStages.html

yeah, we'll just have to wait and see. rains done and suns coming out so things may clear enough by Sunday. I haven't had a single shot at steelhead yet this season so I've got a serious itch to scratch. thanks for the conditions reporting!

The river is kinda big down here right down, but could shape up by the weekend. I'll be at Doran.

I think you might be right I looked at it today and in Alex Valley it's dropping pretty fast I think it will be fishing this weekend above H-TownI'm going out on Thursday. Cam those guages must be messed up I have never seen it drop 8K CFS in 1 day and look at the lower river the 11K never got there SCWA must be pumping a lot of water :smt003. I cross it a couple of times a day I'll keep you posted.

Headed out early on Sunday. Starting at Memorial and drifting to Forestville. I was bank fishing a couple miles below Dry Creek on Friday afternoon and a few of my drift boat buddies rowed by....the landed 2 to 6 fish...mostly on plugs but some on bait. It will be crowded on the river and most of the good spots will have boats or bankies on them so going real early. I heard they changed the locks at Memorial so we will sneak through the gate with one of the boats.
