Hello,

I finally sold my two Big Game Kayaks, got 550 for one, got 600 for the other with a ff on it.  I pulled the trigger today on a yellow 4.7.  I bought it at Austin Kayak. I saved an extra 10% by signing up with texaskayakfishermen.  I hope it gets here this week.  I also ordered the HB 385ci kayak combo from Amazon.  I hope to fish Lake San Antonio early Sunday.  I will post a hookup if i get it all together in time.  Cheers!

I ordered the rod tube and FF kit as well.  Pretty excited here!  THey shipped everything already.  Sold 2 yaks yesterday, ordered one today and sold a trailer today as well.  Not a bad couple of days, time to scare some fish!

That ultra 4.7 is a nice kayak, well thought out.  I can't wait to hear some fishing stories!

Enjoy your new yak.  I like mine a lot.

I paddled the ultra with scallen in December.   I felt it was really fast.  I know they based the hull on the design of the original prowler, a very fast hull.  Very fast!

I also like that the ultra is even more set up for fishing. I installed my Scotty flag mount today in 1 minute. The boat has brass anchors already in it.  It is really, really heavy but it paddles like a dream.  I paid a little over 1500 at Austin kayak.  I signed up for texaskayakfisherman.com and requested a discount code from Austin kayak.

It is going to get wet for the first time tomorrow morning at lake San Antonio.

All this being said, t15 is a super solid boat.

Looks good, the only thing I didn't like from the videos and photos on the internet was the seat. How is it IRL?

I bought the GTS expedition elite seal in November. I have no plans to use the stock seat.  The stock seat looks good, but I don't think it will feel good.

You must be built like a NFL linebacker, those things are on the heavy side.

I think I have actually hit a growth spurt.  I had myself at 6'1", but the doctor had me at 6'3" Wednesday.  I'm no linebacker. I was down to 205 playing racquetball four times a week but then then twins came and so did my gut and 225.  THe nordic track comes into play next week.

Actually, trying to load this thing into and out of my truck has been a challenge but I will figure it out.  The bed extender I bought is not long enough with a short bed, field tank,  and tool box.  The roof is an option but was tricky to do alone.  On the maiden voyage at San Anotinio today I forgot my tackle box so I was stuck with an artificial worm and a rattle trap that was already tied on.  I paddled around for 45min getting the feel of it and then spent 1hr 15 minutes trying to load it back up.

I'm very happy the Big Games are GONE!  Great boat but a pig! The guy that bought them is going to use them as a free diving platform.  I think that they are feel suited for that.

The T3 suit was great.

Put it on with my street clothes and was pretty comfortable.  It was 27 degrees.  I thought there could be a leak in the feet but my feet were just cold.  The drysuit was a great decision.  I did see a guy on a boat bring in something as I was launching but I don't know what it was.  The carp were rolling like crazy  I think I may target them Sunday :smt002.  I will be out again Sunday morning for a few hours.  I will post something in hookups tomorrow.

There's no doubt it's a heavy boat.  It's a challenge getting that thing on top of my roof rack, but I can do it myself if I have to.  There have been many dark, early mornings loading that thing myself.
