A small, bushy-tailed mammal having black fur with white stripes down the back; it ejects a foul-smelling liquid when molested.
Out on the water  7-1 with Seabreeze and Chefstano.  Not much traffic in the lot or on the water.  Paddled south for a couple miles in fairly shallow water trolling, the NW and W out to the fleet 5 miles out mooched there a long time, obviously a calm day, low overcast, fairly warm, almost no wind.  Chef got a take down, didn't stick, I think I got a drive-by, and that was the whole thing.
The PB's got a few fish, some several miles beyond our limit, but it seemed pretty slow.  Lots of furbags and they stole a bunch of fish.  Lots of scattered bait, could go for a mile in thin schools, occasional ball.  At 5 miles, much thicker bait, but only a few fish metered.  There was almost as much bait before the red can.   Wind came up a little about 11-1130, a mile of
confused water before the jaws (still outgoing a little), almost no swells.  13 miles in 6 hrs, 5 miles out, I guess there were 3  miles of zig-zags.  And I must have mooched for over an hour, so it made for a long mostly fast paddle. Had a good time and a good lunch at Phil's.

Yep.......4 miles out and one drive by hit in the first hour............

It was so quiet and flat that joining the fleet at Mulligans seemed sensible......the long paddle back was disappointing because the wind and swell came up too much to effectively fish on the way........oh well......... :smt012

The clam chowder at Phil's was good........as was the company.

Hopefully the Dux crew scored?

I trolled a FBR behind a 10 oz mooching wieght, about 2mph, a spool of spectra out - I'm slowly realizing I don't use enuf wieght and that all that line's curve is mostly on the surface kind of gliding along on its own lift, and drops as it gets to the wieght. I mostly just wanted to get to a bait ball and mooch.

Tom, have you tried the deep six planer? or double deep six, size 1?

those seem to be good for some trolling if you aren't hardcore trolling
and have 6 2lb weights on board.

since you don't lose them on release, they might be better for somebody
aiming to mooch more than they troll.

I am still trying to figure out my system.
