Jim/fuzz/rick, I just noticed on the score board it is summing up all your fish for you total score rather than the 10 best.

I am pretty sure you are right, I think that is how its being scored?

9. The biggest fish/abalone from each diver's categories will be used towards the diver’s total points. Entries in all 18 categories will count towards each diver's total points.

So I think you can spear a bunch of cabs, but it will only score the biggest of that specific category, cabs for example

7.   The biggest fish/abalone/scallop from each diver's top ten categories will be used towards the diver’s total points

This was what I was mentioning. Leader has 1700 pts and a 140 average, as it is using all 12 or 13 submited fish to calculate the leader...

I don't really care as im not competing, I just saw the numbers and it looked odd.

Garety, not sure where you're getting that quote from.

The rules at http://doty.ncka.org/ do not state that.

The rule you quote above was from the draft rules before we created the actual DOTY website and published the final rules which can be found here:

http://doty.ncka.org/

I think you were looking at the original, kinda brainstorming thread when I first threw the DOTY idea out there (before we created the DOTY committee and finalized rules and points per inch).

Hope this helps clarify...
