Was thinking of going crabbing at Doran Park next week. Have never crabbed there before. Was wondering if someone could help me with a couple of questions.  How far do I have to go out (past the jetty)?  How deep is the water there?  Where is the best place to launch/park?  Thank you, any info would be appreciated!

you can get crab 1/2 way to the end of the jetty or 400 yds past the jetty. Depth is usually between 20-40 feet. Best place to launch is at the jetty day use area. Use Mackrel for bait!!!! Day use is $6.

Closer to the jetties will produce Rock and Red crabs.  Way left of the jetties (sandy area) and way out to where the jetty points out will produce dungees.  The Danielson FTC traps seems to be the easy way to take home crabs. :smt003
Keep out of the mouth of the Jetties.  When the power boats come in they come in fast!
