Switch to Linux  :smt001

There used to be a power toy Microsoft made that did it in XP. But Microsoft in all their wisdom took it away.

You can try these... I don't use windows so I can't vouch for any of them.

Hi Ryan:

 I use Linux for Layout and Verfication for Analog devices and
 Windows 7 for my Office Stuff like "Word" processing.
                                                              Thanks

There are "Word" suites available other then those made by Microsoft.

I am currently getting my bachelor in Computer Science Systems Programming, I don't want to get too far into it, because I could write a book, but Microsoft has been on the forefront of taking away technological innovations.

So any "problem" with Windows can always be fixed by switching to Linux, Solaris, HPUX, FreeBSD, Mac OsX, etc... I say it jokingly because I know that they are not for everyone. But if I can get at least one person to think outside of Windows, or realizes there is other software out there, then I am happy.

Maybe not for you as you obviously use Linux, but who nows maybe one of those lurkers will make the switch.

"gimp" is a freeware Photoshop clone. It's not good for bulk resizing, but does mostly everything that Photoshop does.

Or Simple phobucket! it automatically reduced the size not the quality..after posting to photobucket you can download them in smaller size...or if you are posting on NCKA just post the link works like magic!

Ryan,  regarding Microsoft OS:  I worked with a CIO who always referred to Windows as the ultimate virus!  Sounds like the opinions of the "informed" haven't changed much since I retired.  Back to the topic:  I use VSO Resizer and it works very well.  However, the free version is pretty restricted.  The pay version is worth the few bucks it costs.

Maybe the Home or Starter versions of Win7 doesn't have Paint, but Win7 Professional and above sure do.

Rescaling images is built into MS Paint and works fine.

Start->All Programs->Accessories->Paint

or just run "mspaint"

This. It's already on your computer and works fine. It's what I use.
