Swell was too big to hit up my plan A spot, but plan B worked out just fine...20+ foot viz and plenty of fishies out and about.

Went 10 for 10 on my shots (maybe my first day with no misses ever?!?) and hit a max of 44 feet.

1 Greenling, 1 Copper, 2 Blues, 6 Kelpies.

Brian WildernessHunter was out there too and despite some ear problems managed to bag a few as well.

REALLY felt good to be out in the water.

Good work dude! 44 feet, that's great man! I'm betting a red is somewhere in your near future! I'm gonna try to make it a point to get out with you in December sometime. Take care buddy!

Thanks fellas!

After my last video showing how poor my aim can be, I decided to really focus and try and do better.

What also helped was a new rubber weight belt from Neptonics here in Santa Cruz that didn’t slip at depth, and a new snorkel that didn’t pull my mask and create leaks from Austin’s Dive Center, and also from Austin’s a new super bright light that has 400 lumens compared to my old one that had 116!

All the fishies have already been eaten whole by my family and by my wife’s uncle’s family.

 :smt003

I thought the fish at 3:00 in the vid was a Copper, but young Rick and Jahnava from Moss Landing Marine Lab corrected me and let me know it was a Gopher…I ate him on Saturday night and he tasted great!!

Sincerely,

Jim
