I started to fish the backponds of shadow cliffs but you are only alowed to use single barbless hooks. I was wondering if i took the treble hooks off and put single barbless hooks on crankbaits and jerkbaits if they would work still?

get siwash hooks (owner if you can) AND absolutely buy a pair of cheap split ring pilers, they will save your nails and frustration way more than the $4 they cost   :smt001

If you have to use single barbless, can one crank have two hooks?  You might want to consider that too.

Good luck out there.

Let me know if you ever wanna hit the delta again.

What has worked best for me is removing the tail hook and replacing the belly hook with a swivel and single or just cutting 2 hooks off each treble. With bigger plugs over 3" you can replace both with singles without effecting the action just use a bigger size to comp for the weight.
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

I have some deep diving crankbaits modified with single barbless siwash on the back only.  I use a 1/0 and have had moderate success, but I think that is more a factor of the crankbait over the hook style....
