To crab or not to crab that is the question? :smt006

Sat...S wind 10 to 20 kt. Wind waves 3 to 5 ft. W swell 7 to 9 ft.

Sun...S wind 10 to 20 kt...becoming NW. Wind waves 2 to 4 ft. W swell 9 to 11 ft. Rain likely.

Wished I lived closer. :smt001 This will be it for awhile for me to head over to the coast.

Have not heard any reports out of Trinidad this year???

Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.

South wind at t-dad is no fun. Crab are abundant like last year Dr. This week is not so good for the weather.

It's been a strong 12-15' with volatile winds...  Not promising for the crabbing at Trinidad.  Crab Park was slow last week...  The bay's a possibility, Dave.  If you guys are coming over I'll give you some advice about where to crab near 101 and in any wind or swell conditions.  I might go myself...

I am determined to get out. My folks are visiting and are are now planning to stay until Saturday morning and I need to get to the school to take care of a little business soon. I am now thinking Sunday if the wx will allow us. It would a tried Monday start back to school but afterall life is short.  :smt001 How about Sunday?

I am considering Sunday morning at Trinidad.  What time were you thinking of paddling out?  I don't have internet at my house, but can receive email on my phone. Email ([email protected]) will be the best way to contact with plans.  Of course, post here in case anyone else wants to join.

FYI - 6 of us ventured out of Trinidad into the 'mixed up' conditions on Thanksgiving. Wind was mild out of the south.  Not epic conditions, but we did have sunshine and got our limits (average carapaces size I would say was 6 1/2")
