I volunteered to be a water safety monitor again this year but didn't realize a scheduling conflict.  It's at McNears Beach tomorrow morning.  Check in at 7am, race starts at 8.   Swimmers should be done by 9:30 or so.  Striper fishing has been awesome and the tides should be perfect, so you could break out your rod once the swimmers finish (I think they'f frown upon trolling while the race is going on!).  You can access both China Camp/Rat Rock and the Brickyard easily from this spot.  I have a parking pass so you could drive right on down.  I'd feel bad about just not showing up so would like to find my replacement.  They always need more volunteers so if anyone is interested PM me for the info.  First one gets my pass.
