Doin my weekly trip to the port to see if the stripers have made their way up. I'll put in at barge canal access around 730 and head to the north corner of the turning basin where I marked a school of non biters last week, casting the bank for bait on the way. Any and all company welcome, weather is gonna be beutiful.

Good luck!  November should be a good month in there.  Till we get some rain that should move more fish north into the area.

Just a heads up.  We hit the port last week for nada.  The fish were there, but so were the bait balls.  With all that bait in the water it made for a super tough bite.  If you can, I'd try to make it out there before daylight.  Also, jigs seem to be working  :smt002.

Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

The local bass boaters at the port and I'm sure in the delta have a favorite.  I'd forgot the name...(http://www.duhteam.com/duhspoon.html) :smt003 but Broadway bait should carry them.  On the website it says Fishermans wearhouse is one of their dealers but I don't remember finding them at the Sacramento location.  If someone finds them let me know?   I would think just about any 1-2 ounce will work with the treble on the headside that is the trick.  I like 2 ounce.  Hope that helps.
