Maybe this belongs somewhere else, but with our last minute dashes to get some Rockies, thought it should hit the boards if it has not already...

I just heard on the News that a 20' GWS attacked a surfer at Marina....  clipped his arm and neck, he'll live...

bite out of the surfboard says 20 footer.... ouch  :smt009

also another big one was spotted off Capitola by helecopter.....

Not a secret that it's " SharkTober...."  and the Landlord is home for a while.....   :smt106 :smt106 :smt106

But use some smarts and definitely   DO NOT GOT OUT ALONE AND STAY TOGETHER!!!!!

So where exactly did they release that 20 ft. GWS from Monterey Bay again?  :smt009

I believe the GWS released from MBA was only 4.5' long.

KSBW now says the shark was estimated to be 9 feet long. I'm a little surprised that a 9 footer would be pursuing full sized mammal prey (and so mistake a surfer) , but maybe this one was just an over achiever.

if it had been a 20 footer it would have been game over.
