"The most powerful emissary for ocean conservation in our history." Executive Director Julie Packard called it.

I agree with the statement. I took my family to the MB Aquarium last Saturday and saw it first hand.  We got there when during  feeding time.

The speaker explained that the faster fishes (tunas, dorado) were being fed that time.  The baby GWS was considered a slow swimmer and was fed separately at a different schedule.

I saw this first hand as she would slowly took her time trying to swallow a floating sardine the tuna and dorado missed.  In fact it took her several attempts to swallow a floating sardine.  Not like the air jaws on TV.
She was released recently and back were she belongs.

I also found out that the tank holds 17,000 sardines that the predators leave alone because they get easy meals.  After the fast fishes were fed, krill was thrown to the sardines.  It was very spectacular as they flashed and weaved around the tank.  Almost like a fireworks show. The sardines were more fun to watch over the tunas going full speed like Indy cars swallowing their meals.
