I finally made it to Heenan Lake on Friday.  Ended up with a 12 to 14" and one that went three to four pounds.  My buddy was using my loaner Hobie Outback and he managed a 12", one that went 2.5 lbs. and one he says went 7 to 8 pounds.  Only got one picture of the larger one I caught.

The fall foilage colors were at their peak:

Beautiful fish, congrats. I fished that lake once about 7 years ago and did pretty good also.
Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.

Atavuss, that place looks like paradise and nice fish you have there. Never really got into lake or fresh water fishing always in the salt but reports like this I might just give it a try. Thanks
