I just got a new boat delivered today, Emotion Mojo angler from Cabelas.  I'm dying to get otw so will be out at 1st light on Saturday in trinidad.  I have to be in Eureka at 10:30am so won't be out long, but if it is anything like the past two years that shouldn't be a problem.  The crabbing area near prisoner rock is protected more or less from the NW swell.  You will probably want more than 60' of rope as depths are around 50-60' in the area.

I plan on being out at 1st light on Sunday too.  The next weekend will depend upon if the turkeys cooperate  :smt001  Opening day of crab and 7 days later thanksgiving turkey opener - I absolutely love this time of year  :smt007

Looks like it may just be Dom and I this year.  My 11.8 year old daughter wants to go, but I'm not ready for her to get in her own kayak at night!  "Dad, 1AM is NOT late!"   :smt003  Like I'd be able to leave at 1AM to take her home and pop back down...  Little brat!  I can't wait until she really does come along.   :smt001

If anyone else is interested in the midnight run company is welcome.   :smt004

Cool, Will!  Dom and I should be down there by 10PM.  We want to get our fire going and scout depths across the estuary prior to dropping gear at midnight.  The slot we were working last year was only like 13' deep - if you have TOO much rope it's hard to get right over your gear to pull straight up - 20 or 25' of rope is plenty (you need 60' or more for Trinidad).  My cell is (707) 845-0400 - good reception down there.
