A pioneer in his early years and a curmudgeon at the end when the game had passed him by.  I know many Raider fans will be happy but it is surely a sad day in football.

RIP? Raiders in playoffs? Yeah right.
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

A true raider at heart , he helped shape the team as well as the NFL and will always be a true icon of the sport.....he should of handed over the team years ago and let someone else run the team but he wanted to do things his way.....RIp al Davis

The Autumn Wind is a Raider.

It will be interesting to see what direction the team goes now. It's time to get with the program! Thanks for everything Mr. Davis.

yes a sad day in football. I remember when Walsh passed, it was like he was part of my childhood. I'm sure many Raider fans feel the same. R.I.P Al.
