Muir last wed., driving down looking at the ocean negatively, actively psyching myself out. Have yet to see wave one, and I allready want to drag my yak all the way to the North side to launch in shelter. I do not fully suit up. Rather, I simply tie the arms and upper section of my suit around my waist, cinching up my now paddle pants, stuff the rest under my vest and I was well on my way to an epic face planting wipe out. Far from my biggest of the day however, as I was just then beginning to formalize this negative tsunami I had been creating for myself.  Farming two more times, I went back to the beach to regroup. Out of the suite I let it dry. Gear out of yak, I poured the water out. Zipping back into my entire suit this time I was then ready to really , really farm big time. Breaking threw what I was horrified to find was not the wave I needed to make but merely one that should have let me know that soon the sky would turn dark. With mist whirling off its leadind edge this wave began its break with me aboard. A much more violant slam this time, leaving me to eat the middle portion of the bottom of my yak as it continued to hurl through me on its way to the beach.

Crab season is upon us. My traps are heaver than most. Having farmed several times before this latest mental melt down, I now know the following. No matter what, even when I truly do not feel like it, I will stay positive.I had way less fun than I should have, an that ain't no way to role. Tight lines, no worries mates.
