New Orleans Hero honored

Steve Gleason is a local hero and, among many other things, was the guy who blocked the punt against the Falcons in the first game after Katrina in the Superdome.

He came out last week with the news that he had ALS.

The Saints invited him to lead the pre-game WhoDat chant, made him an honorary captain for Sunday's game, and gave him the game ball....last Sunday's game was also the 5 year anniversary of the day the Superdome reopened...

Stupid f#ing diseases!!! ALS, Cancer, the lot of them...   

Steve and his family will be in my thoughts and prayers...

Apparently only 3 people have been known to survive ALS...let's hope Steve is number 4.
