Hey guys - I've been kayak fishing for a couple of years and now it's time to take my 9 year old son out with me for the first time.  If it goes well I'll take his 7 year old brother.  They both love to fish but haven't done it from a kayak.

We live in Marin county and I normally go to stillwater, the fort and sometimes MBK but I want his first time to be fun and safe so I'd like to go bait fishing and catch some sardines.  I read some posts and Capitola seems to be the place to go, is that right?  Is it an easy launch?

Thanks in advance.

Jose

Great, thanks.  HMB is the closest to us, we'll give it a try.

Baitfishing out of the capitola pier on an ultralight rod (or any trout rod/bass rod) is fun fun fun!  The whole family loves grilled sardines too.
