I've looked at every kayak cart they make.  I want something that I can stow inside the boat while afloat.  What's got me gridlocked:

- Scrupper design; many sharing this is the weak point of boat and have created holes
- Strap-ons; many sharing problems with keeping strapped on depending on brand
- Others; specs seem as though when folded or disassembled they will not fit inside teh hull of the boat

I need to get past this decison point.

- What are you guys using?
- Are you happy with your choice?
- If not, what do you wish you would have gotten?
- Does it fit inside the hull of your boat?

Thanks in advance-
Kenny

Thanks-

I looked at those; the folded dimensions are 28" x 13" x 4".  The forward compartment on a T13 is half that size and the middle rod pod is 25" long.  How are you fitting that inside the hull of the boat?

I paddle a tarpon and I either take them back to the truck or strap them in the tankwell but if I had to store the I could take the wheels of and stuff it in the front hatch

Bar none, this is the kayak cart you want.  You can either purchase something else now and get this later, or just save yourself the money and get this one first, but either way, this is what you'll end up with.  It is what everybody here has.

This may or may not fit in your hatch.  If it doesn't, just transport it back to your vehicle like James said.  If you want extra flotation, purchase pool noodles or floatation bags.

Hey Kenny, I'm in Woodland too. If you want you could just come over and I'll show you what's up with carts, fishing poles and kayak stuff.
I learned the hard way, just bought what I could afford at the time and consequently have bought again and again. :smt044
For me, it was part of the fun, part of the learning experience. Also, I can be a bit impulsive when it comes to kayak and fishing stuff. :smt003

I have a P15 and the whole cart doesn't fit in my boat. I usually just take the cart back to my truck, but on a few occasions I have put both of the wheels in the front hatch, folded the frame flat, and used the front hatch straps to hold the frame on my boat. I wouldn't recommend this in salt water, but it's been fine on the lakes.

I do the same thing as Jay, with my Prowler 15 and Trident 13.

Also, you can take the wheels off and put them in your rear tankwell, and put the frame in your rod pod if you have one.

If you're EVER going to fish the ocean or a lake with a sandy shore get the wheeleez if you can.

THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!

Wheeleze. Still the standard by which all other carts are measured.

I do a fair number of beach launches. I can't fit the beach wheels cart in the hatch, so I stow the tires in the front hatch and strap the frame in the tankwell. With my smaller all-terrain (black knobby tires) I can fit the whole frame inside the hatch with the tires off.

yak manufacturers take note-make front hatches large enough to hold a beach cart frame!

with the rod pod and scupper transducer mods on the market, this is the last thing that i really want from a yak (other than a weight under 50lbs) :smt044

Awesome feedback guys - I was of the impression there were carts that could stow in the boat.  Sure there are - but I hear what you are saying.  Good to know the consensus is "we dont float with wheels in the boat".

Tony - I have to hit you up - will send a pm later when on a regular computer.
