Allen, I dont have cable, just local channels, and my tv picks up Kqed world through it's digital tuner.  My other tv doesn't have the same tuner built in and it doesn't get world.  Try removing your cable box and hooking the cable in the back of your tv and tune it that way...might work.
I just watched it and its very interesting, inspiring, SAD......Its an emotional program for sure.  I love when he says the old man soldered razor blades into the gap of his hooks, and would cut the bankies lines when he was pissed..
