How do you attach Plano boxes to the kayak?

On my P-15 I use brass clips and deck loops.  On my Revo I just use the stock bungee between  my rod holder tubes and the Box to hold it down.  Oh, it is the large style Plano box that works great on the Revo.  I think I will be adding bras clips after reading about Great Bass' wipeout in the surf.

Can you post some photos?  I used pad eyes on my kayak and Plano box and ran the stock bungee thru the rod holders that I put on the Plano box but it is still not secure.  It moves around and the bungee lifts it up.

I can post some pictures of my set-up but it won't be before early next week.

I prefer attaching bungee cords on both sides so if I do crash on the surf, the plano box will not rip off the eye loops from the deck. Think of it as a shock absorber. Same thing I do on my tow rope and anchor system.

+1, that's exactly what I did.  Pictures to follow.

I had the same problem with the plano on my tarpon 140. I had it attached with a bit of bungie on a brass snap and padeye on each side of the box under the hinge and clasp.

I found that what would happen is that with rods in the pvc tubes (on the back of the box) if i bopped over some surf or bounced over chop, the weight of the rods would flip the box over, pivoting it on the attachment points. Getting it straight again was a PITA on the water.

I ended up putting two more snaps on the forward side of the box, and attaching these to two more padeyes just behind the seat. It's rock solid now.

Here's a picture from my old yellow T13
I installed a pad eye on both sides of the Plano box and placed a brass snap inside the pad eye.
For my T13 the brass snaps attach directly to OK pad eyes.
For my Revo 13, I have the same set up as Mooch's post but added a bungee to my DIY rod holders to make it more secure.  The bungee is place between the gap of the rod holders and the tackle box, then hooked to Hobie pad eyes.
It has survived several dunkings in the surf. :smt001

This is how I took care of things with my old Trident

made my own rod pod (pre "mod pod") out of fiberglass.

but, the Jackson Cuda and Coosa I have now are outfitted for holding trays from the factory. If I need to carry more, then I take my NRS Tailwater bag...

I have a set up (taken from O2B). I will snap a pic when I get home. Works great. its basically bungees that run thru the box (below the lid) and then connect to the stock pad eye's
