My son is living down near where 101 and 85 come together, he's coming ab diving with us next weekend and needs to rent just a suit, he has everything else, just out grew his last suit (which I sold to Sonny) he'd like to pick up a suit down there before he heads up to meet us at Salt Point.

Any suggestions on a shop to check out in SJ?

-wallins dive shop
-diver dans

Those are all in the bay area, I am not sure which one is closer to you though.  I would suggest google map it.

Steeles dive shop in Berkeley has probably the best prices around for rentals but somewhat funky hours.

You could also try bamboo reef in the city. Sorry I don't know anything in the south bay.

I love Steeles just for the experience, I bought all my first set of gear from them in 85, and have bought most everything else from them over the years, they're amazing as far as going the extra mile to get you set up (at a super reasonable cost) . My son's just short on time and was hoping to grab something near where he lives.

Both Dans and Any Water Sports would work (iirc any water seemed like they had more hunting gear and the staff members knew more or less what they were talking....I think that only matters for guys like me who like to wander around the store looking at cool stuff).  I'd check rental prices and see what the return policies (next day, additional $$ for late returns etc...) are and go from there.

There's also aquatic discovery near the airport, I found it by getting lost looking for wintersport warehouse.  The place was about the size of a walk in closet but I disticnctly remember them selling a 1 pc 7mm abalone diving wetsuit for a little over a bill.

If worse comes to worse....Petaluma Sport and Dive and Bodega Bay pro dive are both on the way up to the coast.
..........agarcia is just an ex-kayaker
